Cooking Instructions

Preheat over to 350.
1. Brown the sausage or ground beef. Drain the oil
2. Mix together the ricotta, parmesan, eggs and parsley
3. Start layering all of the ingredients. I start with a small layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan so that the noodles will cook ok. Then I layer in this order: the noodles, ricotta mixture, meat and then the mozzarella or swiss. Continue layering in this order depending on how high your pan is. I kind of judge to see how many layers you can fit and divide my layers of accordingly. Save some sauce to spoon over the top. If you stop with cheese on the top it will get kind of burned as it is cooking and you will loose some of that chewy cheese effect. You can also add some parmesan to the top instead of ending with one of the cheeses
4. Bake covered with foil for about 60 minutes. It should be bubbly. Let it stand for about 15 minutes before you cut it otherwise it will kind of ooze all over the plate.
